Cause Of Water Pollution

Source of water pollution (Summary)
There are many natural sources of water pollution, such as volcanic eruptions, biological and lightning-caused fire damage to the forest. Of course, the earth has a load of water pollution. However, industrialization or only routine day-to-day has become a burden to the pollution load of water. Sources of water pollution, as described below: --

Industry and Development Activities

Malaysia's economic growth is primarily based on the manufacturing industry (especially electronics), chemicals and rubber industry. But the higher the level of production, which also lead to higher emissions from organic and inorganic gases, chemicals and dust.

Various industries, emit different pollutants. For example, the chemical industry with the release of emissions that are more sulfur and nitrogen sweep, while refineries discharge sulfur dioxide and hydrocarbons. Metal processing industry is partly responsible for the emission of sulfur dioxide and a large quantity of toxic dust. Human activities have resulted in dangerous and environmentally harmful emissions into the air. They threaten our health and our natural ecosystems, and lead to additional greenhouse gases. In addition to toxic emissions from the dust, unplanned and uncontrolled development of industry or location zone led to pollution of noise and vibration problems. The use of traditional methods of piling and voice exhaust fans in some factories in the activities which have a high noise level.

Motor vehicles

Modern society is dependent on motorized transport such as cars, trucks, trains and. Movement of people and goods require energy, most of whom depend on the combustion of fossil fuels, which leads to emissions and noise with the negative impact on the spot.
Air quality from the various modes depending on the type of energy, technology, machinery and the amount of energy. In the transport sector motorized traffic road is the main source of emissions while public transport is more favorable conditions of the car.

In 2004, almost 14 million vehicles registered in Malaysia, almost twice the number a decade ago.The number will continue in the coming years with higher incomes use, rural-urban migration and lack of public transportation more efficient . Stream

The largest part of the energy used in conventional power plants burning fossil fuels such as natural gas, oil or coal. The effectiveness of this power plant is about 35 to 40 percent with the rest into chemical energy.
Currently, Malaysia produces 86% of electric power plants in the conventional and 14% in water power plants. (Text: "Water for our city, 2006, by DOE Malaysia & German Society for Technical Cooperation)

Every day routine

Contribute to the budget of water pollution, particularly through the use of the energy needed to run machinery and electrical appliances such as refrigerators. Refrigerators and air conditioners not only consume energy but they contaminate the environment if they release the liquid refrigerant chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) into the air. Chemicals used in homes and parks are also sources of pollution and toxic waste. (Text: "Water for our city, 2006, by DOE Malaysia & German Society for Technical Cooperation)

Open Burning

The burning of the old plantations, which for the replanting makes many soot particles. Soot particles can be developed more than a remote and largely responsible for the haze that often in the skies over Malaysia. Fire is not only pollution but also damage the rich habitat for flora and fauna. (Text: "Water for our city, 2006, by DOE Malaysia & German Society for Technical Cooperation)
